Duomo
Milan... hmm for some people, Milan is the fashion capital of the world. To me? Exotic cars, motorbikes and Leonardo Da Vinci's the last supper.. Flew to Milan via OmanAir.. good flight except for an idiot on board. Most of the Middle East airlines flew directly to Milan. It is best to book your accommodation upfront.

My current fave is www.booking.com. You con sort out your preferred accommodation according to budget and location. For this trip, stayed at Ramada Milano. Around 10 mins walk from Turro Metro station. Would recommend the hotel as they have a large room but you have to be careful to keep your belonging safe. Lost my perfume on my second day in the hotel.
The best way to explore Milan is by purchasing the walking tour. Booked mine via www.viator.com - Da vinci last supper skip the line in which i really skipped the line to get the ticket. The tour will last around 3 hours. The sight the must not be missed is Sforza Castle & the last supper. Its a good way to get your bearing in Milan itself.
Replica of the Last Supper
The best way to travel in Milan is using the Metro. EU3.00 for unlimited ride for a day. Else, you can get taxi to get you around. The Metro ticket is also valid for rides on Trams.
The next big question people surely ask... shopping in Milan.. The summer sale starts on the first Saturday in July and will last until August. Winter sale will start on first Saturday after the holiday in January till mid February. The usual tourist spot will be Galeria Vittorio Emmanuel II which is in front of the Duomo. Else, you can go to the fashion quadringle i.e. Via Manzoni, Via Montenapoleone, Via Della Spiga and Via Sant' Andrea. Here you can find all the designer shops you want with Ferraris and Lamboghinis parking by the roadside... If you are asking me, was it worth it shopping in Milan? Yup definitely... The price is most definitely way cheaper than back home or in Dubai and in addition to that, you can get 12% VAT to be reimbursed back..
All I can say, Milan will drive visitors crazy when it come to shopping....
